From little more than a pile of coal, a hammer, and recycled brass, Barabaig blacksmiths raise a phoenix from the ashes. These days, they source their brass from old machinery, tools, cookers, and their favorite: Masterlock padlocks! Each blacksmith works his own style into the markings.

As the Barabaig know, the beauty of brass is how it continues to polish naturally as it is worn against the skin. The more you wear it, the smoother and more lustrous it becomes.
